Our defined mission is to serve as a "one-stop resource center" where Veterans can find information about and access to services they need to help them sustain a healthy and productive civilian life.
We either deliver services ourselves or refer Veterans to other local service providers. There are numerous governmental agencies and NGOs that deliver services - health, housing, food, education, job training, etc. - to people in need. Few, however, have a focus or a knowledge and insight into the unique issues facing Veterans. And in most cases, a Veteran seeking help typically has to travel a difficult maze of organizations and people to identify the appropriate service and its source when he or she needs it. We are finding that our "one-stop resource center" concept and our vested interest is being welcomed among the Veteran community. And we know it's a help to those who come our way. We offer them camaraderie and understanding, benefit rights information and monitoring, housing and health care referrals, job training and classes (truck driving, starting a business, resume and communication, etc.), an art therapy program, and more.
One of our primary underlying goals is to End Veteran Homelessness in this country!
We offer Veterans a door back into a sustainable and productive civilian life and we help them walk through that door.
